Profile of Belt conveyor
Belt conveyor is a general industrial equipment that uses an endless conveyor belt as the core carrying and traction component, and realizes continuous material conveying through friction drive. It is widely used in mining, ports, building materials, grain, chemical industry and other fields, capable of long-distance, large-capacity transportation of bulk materials or unit goods in horizontal or slightly inclined conditions.
Core Structure and Components of belt conveyor
Conveyor Belt The key component. Common types include rubber fabric belts (NN/EP), steel cord belts (ST), and PVC belts. The cover rubber is required to be wear-resistant, acid- and alkali-resistant, or high-temperature resistant. Joint methods include vulcanized joints (high strength, long service life) and mechanical joints (quick replacement).
Drive System Composed of motor, reducer, coupling and drive pulley (usually rubber-lagged to increase friction), which provides power.
Supporting and Belt Direction Adjustment Trough or flat idler sets support the conveyor belt to reduce resistance.Bend pulleys change the running direction of the belt. Tensioning devices (screw, gravity, hydraulic) maintain proper belt tension to prevent slipping and deviation.
Auxiliary Equipment Cleaners, guide chutes, baffles, deviation switches, overspeed switches, emergency stop switches, fire protection and dust removal equipment.
